Tod Goldstein, the owner of TAG's World Gymnastics in Portland, Texas, plans to open a location in the Kyle Industrial Park at 1151 Bunton Creek Road, Kyle. Kyle City Council voted Sept. 17 to approve an application for the city’s First Year on Us program, which offers incentives to business owners opening in Kyle. The initial space will be 3,000 square feet, but the gymnastics school has a rapid-growth model, Kyle Director of Economic Development Diana Torres told council. The $5,000 rebate, which can be redeemed in the business’s first or second year, is in exchange for an initial capital investment of $40,000, which Torres claimed would grow to $125,000 within a year.
