Firehouse Subs is opening a Kyle location in late August and is scouting San Marcos with plans to open a second restaurant in Hays County soon, franchise holder Gary White said July 3.
White said Aug. 26 is the targeted opening date for the restaurant at 5965 Kyle Parkway, No. 110, in Kyle.
"We will be putting in a minimum of three stores between Slaughter Lane on I-35 [in Austin] and the southern end of San Marcos," White said. "We may put as many as two in San Marcos."
White said he wants San Marcos' first Firehouse Subs to be along I-35, and a second restaurant would be near the Texas State University campus. He plans to stagger the franchise openings once every nine months.
