Adriana Garza opened Creative Arts of Austin at 203 Railroad St., Buda, in mid-September. The company offers film acting and filmmaking classes for children ages 5-18. Garza has previously appeared on television shows including “From Dusk Til Dawn” and “The Leftovers.” Garza also created, directed, produced and acted in a play called “The Art of Being.” Classes are offered on Saturdays and Sundays. Garza said the Buda studio is set up like a “mini soundstage” to mimic what actors experience when working on film productions. “When you’re in a soundstage in LA they’re pretty huge,” Garza said. “They make it look like they’re actually in a house when they’re not. There are several different sets.
