Several events are taking place in the San Marcos, Buda and Kyle areas throughout the fall season. From the 2026 Sacred Springs Powwow in San Marcos to the Buda Arts Festival, mark your calendar with these upcoming events.

They're Coming to Get You
The Chambers Theatre will present the theatrical reimagining of Night of the Living Dead, debuting just in time for the Halloween season. The play follows a plot where the dead are waking up and attacking the living, and is written and directed by Heath Thompson.

2026 Sacred Springs Powwow
The 16th annual festival will include Indigenous music and dancing, arts and crafts and traditional dishes like fry bread and tacos. The event will also include Native jewelry and artwork from over 40 artisan vendors.

Kyle Founders' Day Parade 2026
The city of Kyle is celebrating its birthday and its founders at the annual parade that will move through downtown. The best location to view the parade is on either side of Center Street between Gregg-Clarke Park and Mary Kyle Hartson Park. Following the parade, attendees are invited to gather at the gazebo on the corner of South Main Street for birthday cupcakes.
Rocky Movies Trivia Night at Pinballz Kingdom
The Pinballz team will be turning the arcade into a boxing ring of trivia covering every Rocky movie, from the original film to the spin-off hits. Attendees can RSVP for exclusive deals and participate as a team or individually.
Fall Native Plant Sale and Monarch Fest
Those attending will learn the importance of butterflies and other pollinators in Central Texas, while shopping the Fall Native Plant Sale items and finding inspiration to start their own butterfly garden. The event will include a monarch obstacle course, monarch lifecycle games and photo ops.
Buda Arts Festival
The annual festival will feature art competitions, busking musicians, art demos, artisan markets, gallery exhibits, artist meet-ups, kids’ activities, film and live theatre performances.

Organic Gardening Class
Led by Master Gardener Holly Wilson, the seminar introduces composting and vermicomposting, giving participants the tools to create their own composting system and soil for their garden.
Center Street Trick-or-Treat
The family-friendly event will allow local businesses and organizations to set up tents and tables at Mary Kyle Hartson City Park for trick-or-treating and a costume contest. Food and drink vendors, alongside vendors selling children’s items, will be at the event.
