Buda city officials announced July 26 the area set to enter Stage 1 drought restrictions Aug. 1. Outdoor watering and irrigation through hose-end or automatic sprinklers will only be allowed during designated times and days of the week as outlined below.

  • Odd-numbered residences on Wednesday and/or Saturday from 7 p.m.-10 a.m.
  • Even-numbered residences on Thursday and/or Sunday from 7 p.m.-10 a.m.
  • Commercial, mixed-use and multifamily spaces on Tuesday and/or Friday from 7 p.m.-10 a.m.
Car washes, outdoor watering and garden watering with a handheld bucket and hose that has a shutoff device is permitted any time of day. Washing surfaces is not allowed unless it is required for health and safety. The operation of aesthetic water features is prohibited.
