Why are you running for this position?
I’m running because San Marcos welcomed me with kindness and open arms, and I want to give back through public service. With my grant-writing experience, I see opportunities to pursue resources we’re leaving on the table and put them to work protecting, strengthening, and investing in our community.
What would your top priorities be if elected?
My top priorities are the environment, affordable housing, and supporting local and small businesses. Through conversations with residents, I’ve heard how important these issues are to keeping San Marcos affordable, thriving, and a community where people can build their lives and businesses for years to come.
How will you balance the community’s response to data centers and the potential economic benefits following the city’s prohibition of that development?
I support the community’s opposition to data centers. No economic benefit outweighs protecting our river and aquifer. Data centers threaten irreplaceable water resources while offering mostly temporary construction jobs and minimal long-term employment. I will prioritize sustainable economic growth that protects the natural resources that make San Marcos special.
What do you see as the greatest challenge for San Marcos in the next 5 years?
Our greatest challenge is balancing growth while protecting what makes San Marcos special. We must safeguard our river, water resources, and natural spaces, ensuring our community is well served. Sustainable growth should strengthen San Marcos, meet the needs of our residents, and benefit our community now and into the future.

Why are you running for this position?
I’m currently on city council and have other projects I want to see come to light.
What would your top priorities be if elected?
Removing red tape and addressing the utility cost on payers.
How will you balance the community’s response to data centers and the potential economic benefits following the city’s prohibition of that development?
I voted against data centers and was concerned about how much power and water they use.
What do you see as the greatest challenge for San Marcos in the next 5 years?
Affordable housing.
