MudBugs, a popular Cajun restaurant in downtown Buda, debuted a new outdoor bar May 29 with a community celebration featuring a live DJ, drink and beer specials, and its final crawfish boil of the year.

Owner Jeff Parks credited the Buda Economic Development Corporation for supporting the project through its small-business incentive program and thanked property landlord Dodi Dalstrom for allowing the addition of the deck and bar.
“We’re always trying to improve everything that we do, and that even goes specifically to the ambiance around here,” Parks said.
