Turner’s Crossing South, a new 131-acre residential community in Buda located near I-35 and SH 45, has begun construction on Phase 1, which is expected to deliver 53 homes. Once completed, the neighborhood is anticipated to have a total of 715 homes.
The details
The development will include modern single-family home designs and access to community amenities. With the start of the first phase of construction, sales are underway, starting in the $330,000s, and two model homes are available to tour, according to a news release.
“We believe that Turner’s Crossing will appeal to a wide range of buyers as a connected, convenient, attainable and amenity-rich community with elevated design that encourages a high quality of life,” said Bryan Havel, division president of Tri Pointe Homes Austin, in a news release.
Homebuilder Tri Pointe is constructing two collections. The Park Collection features homes built on a 50-foot lot, with floor plans ranging from 2,200 to 3,000 square feet.
The Terrace Collection homes are built on 40-foot lots ranging from 1,500 to 2,500 square feet.
“With our Park Collection, we do have some expanded entertaining spaces, we add some lofts, some game rooms, additional flexibility for families, flex rooms, things like that,” said Ashlee Roeder, Tri Pointe Homes director of community experience.
Home designs could also feature:
- Lofts and game rooms
- Primary suites on the first or second floor
- Media rooms
- Additional bedrooms
- Fireplaces
- Curved staircases
- Spa-like bathrooms with soaking tubs
- Garage extensions and extra storage space
- State-of-the-art kitchens with oversized islands
- Walk-in pantries
Tri Pointe Homes also plans to utilize energy-efficient materials that could offer long-term cost savings, according to the release.
A closer look
Roeder said Tri Pointe Homes leans into a “premium lifestyle brand” and is very intentional about the homes it produces and the customer experience it offers.
“We know buyers care about square footage and floor plans, but today they're also paying a lot of attention to how their home feels day to day,” Roeder said. “You know that natural light that comes in, the functionality of their home, the flexibility, the indoor-outdoor spaces, and really that overall design truly matters to buyers. And I would say that we have spent a lot of time thinking through those details.”
Once completed, the neighborhood will feature a resort-style pool, playground, sports and pickleball courts, trails, open green spaces and gathering areas.
“As Austin’s growth continues pushing outward into the suburbs, we've seen a strong demand for buyers who want proximity to Austin and access to Austin who are looking for some more attainable options and something of value,” Roeder said.
The background
Tri Pointe Homes opened the first section of Turners Crossing North in January 2022, with construction wrapping up in the summer of 2025. The developer anticipates that a similar timeline will apply to Tri Pointe South, with completion expected in around three and a half years, Roeder said.
In total, the Turners Crossing North and South developments have 1,328 home sites, with the South portion having 715.
To maintain the amenities, a Homeowners Association, or HOA, fee of $660 annually is charged to those in the neighborhood. Construction of the Turners Crossing South amenities is anticipated to be completed around summer 2027, but in the meantime, homeowners in the South section of the neighborhood can utilize the North’s neighborhood amenities, Roeder said.
Looking ahead
Tri Pointe Homes anticipates delivering an additional 43 homesites in Phase 2 later this summer.
