Hays County reported two new COVID-19-related fatalities along with 10 new hospitalizations. The data reflects the period from Nov. 22-29.
The Hays County Local Health Department reported two COVID-19-related fatalities in the seven-day period—a Kyle man in his 70s and a Wimberley man in his 50s.
There were 75 new cases confirmed by the county between Nov. 22-29, and 211 residents were considered recovered in that time, bringing the current active total down to 311. Last week’s active total was 453.
Of the 13 people hospitalized, 10 are unvaccinated, which is about 77%.
