Hays County reported two new COVID-19-related fatalities along with four new hospitalizations and seven hospital discharges. The data reflects the period from Nov. 29-Dec. 6.
The Hays County Local Health Department reported two COVID-19-related fatalities in the seven-day period—a Driftwood man in his 60s and a San Marcos woman in her 80s.
There were 196 new cases confirmed by the county between Nov. 29-Dec. 6, and 222 residents were considered recovered in that time, bringing the active total down to 271. Last week’s active total was 311.
Of the 10 people hospitalized, eight are unvaccinated, or 80%.
