Hays County reported one new COVID-19-related fatality along with eight new hospitalizations. The data reflects the period from Nov. 15-22.
The Hays County Local Health Department reported one COVID-related fatality in the seven-day period—a San Marcos woman in her 20s.
There were 236 new cases confirmed by the county between Nov. 15-22, and 183 residents were considered recovered in that time, bringing the current active total up to 453. Last week’s active total was 401.
Of the 13 people currently hospitalized, 11 are unvaccinated, which is about 85%.
