Wildfire SMTX, a new nightclub, opened in downtown San Marcos on April 21.
Jovan Marin, part-owner of Axis in San Marcos and Austin, and current part-owner of Wildfire SMTX, said opening up for the San Marcos community was "surreal."
"It's an opportunity that not a lot of people get to experience," Marin said. "I'm beyond grateful."
Marin emphasized the club's excitement to give back to the community.
"We're doing a foundation benefit with San Marcos' Police Department Unions soon. If anybody has any suggestions or needs to ask for donations or something like that, we want to make sure that we're giving back," he said.
The nightclub offers a full bar with various local DJs like DJ Aarooo.
