Louie's NY Sammies brings New York deli-style food to Buda

Louie’s NY Sammies is bringing New York deli-style food to Buda.

The food truck, located at 400 N. Main St., opened Aug. 2.

Owner Lindsay Goff, a native New Yorker, moved to Austin in 2017 before moving to Kyle with her boyfriend in 2021. Since moving, the one thing Goff missed from home was the food, and as the Kyle and Buda areas continued to grow, Goff felt like "everything was pretty much a chain."

“I just figure, this place needs a deli," Goff said. "I feel like there [are] a lot of people, especially moving from the North, so I was like, 'Maybe this can remind them a little something of home.'"

Louie's NY Sammies offers a variety of "New York staples," according to Goff, and each menu item is named after each of Goff’s family members who likes that item the most. The food truck's menu includes a selection of hoagie sandwiches and sides.

"I really wanted to do something that you really can’t find anywhere else, unless, New York," Goff said.
