Although Buddy’s Burger held a soft opening for its drive-thru and interior restaurant space at the beginning of October, it will hold its grand opening Oct. 26.
Buddy’s Burger, an Austin-based fast-casual restaurant, sells beef smash-style burgers with fries. It also sells an assortment of shakes, including Mexican vanilla, Oreo, coffee, chocolate and strawberry.
As a part of its grand opening celebration, Texas State University students can show their student ID for a free Original Lemonade or a shirt for $4.99 all day for the first month. The option to purchase a Buddy's shirt for $4.99 with the purchase of a meal will also be available for non-Texas State students.
Co-founder and Marketing Manager Isha Fidai said the team felt San Marcos was the best place to open another location.
