Archies Coffee Lounge to bring organic mushroom coffee to San Marcos

San Antonio-based Archies Coffee Lounge is bringing plant-based energy drinks and organic mushroom coffee to San Marcos this summer.

The San Marcos location will be located near the Blind Salamander Catina and MoBettaCutz Barbershop. The coffee lounge currently has one location in San Antonio's medical center area and has plans for opening a second San Antonio location downtown this spring.

Owner David Padilla said expanding to San Marcos felt natural.

“Where we’re located in San Antonio, we have a large educator and student clientele. Also, being born and raised in San Antonio, trips to San Marcos were a regular part of my childhood,” Padilla said in an email to Community Impact.

Padilla said Archies can add a variety of wellness enhancers—like immune boosters or CBD—to their drinks, which is what separates them from others. Archies is also looking to add a food menu to its San Marcos location.

Padilla noted that customers describe Archies as a "vibe."

"We're looking forward to creating an amazing space with the Archies "vibe" in a way that is also unique to San Marcos," he said.
