According to the release, De La Garza is the assistant chief operating officer at Methodist Hospital.
De La Garza served as vice president of operations at Methodist Hospital, where she focused on hospital operations, programmatic development, physician recruitment, strategic planning, quality outcomes and service line growth initiatives.
During her time with Methodist Hospital, De La Garza has helped spearhead the lung transplant development program as well as the creation of the hospital’s first vascular program and the Diabetic Foot and Ankle Institute.
Prior to working for Methodist Hospital, she spent 10 years in the Houston health care industry and directed transplant services at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.
De La Garza is set to assume her new role Feb. 27.
