The city of Schertz has two upcoming parks and recreation nature education events during the month of September.

Nature Discovery Series

Schertz residents are invited to learn about reptiles and other cold-blooded life during the September Nature Discovery Event.

The program is designed for families with elementary-aged children, but older and younger siblings are welcome.

Volunteers from the Texas Master Naturalists will lead the programs. Preregistration is not required.

Owl Prowl




The final Owl Prowl event of the year will be held on Sept. 22, inviting residents to take a nighttime stroll with the Guadalupe Master Naturalists.

This event will offer attendees information about aspects of nature, including types of plants, insects, mammals and birds.
