Prior to the kickoff of the 4th of July Jubilee held by the city of Schertz, the Let Freedom Run 5K hosts a race along the parade route.

Registration for the 5K is open now, and runners are encouraged to wear red, white and blue to celebrate Independence Day.

Through June 20, the entry fee is $20. From June 21-July 3, the entry fee will be $25, and on July 4, the fee is $40. An optional T-shirt will also be available for $10.

Day-of registration and packet pickup will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., and the race will begin at 9:15 a.m.

Racers will line up at the Schertz Dog Park, located at 940 Community Circle, Schertz. The parade for the 4th of July Jubilee will begin shortly after the race.
