Unofficial voting results show Bill Paschal taking the seat for Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD Place 6 trustee with 60.86% of the vote, defeating Albert Ramirez, who ended Election Night with 39.14%.

Bexar County had a total of 248,428 voters participate in the Nov. 4 election, representing 19.31% of registered voters. And 21,804 of Guadalupe County voters turned out, representing 16.37% of voters.

Two candidates—Albert Ramirez and Bill Paschal—are vying for the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD, or SCUCISD, Place 6 seat.


What you need to know

Paschal is currently in the lead with 3,633 votes, or 62.3% of the vote. Ramirez has received 2,195 votes, or 37.6% of the vote, according to early voting results.

Ramirez previously ran for SCUCISD's Place 2 position in November 2023, filing under Alberto Ramirez, but lost to Margaret Carlin, according to previous Community Impact reporting.

Ramirez's priorities include supporting improved resources for teachers and transparency between the district and parents. Paschal's priorities include strengthening academics, boosting staff morale and supporting students.


What else?

In early voting, there were 11,574 ballots cast in Guadalupe County, which represents 8.69% of Guadalupe County voters. In Bexar County, there were 148,450 ballots cast, which represents 11.54% of Bexar County voters.

Totals from ballots cast Nov. 4 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
