Voters are heading to the polls Nov. 4 for elections in Northeast San Antonio.

What's happening

The Nov. 4 election will decide contested races in Cibolo, Schertz and Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD, as well as voter-approval tax rate elections for both SCUCISD and Judson ISD.

In Bexar County, Northeast San Antonio voting sites include Schertz Fire Station #3, the Judson ISD Educational Resource Center in Live Oak and Kitty Hawk Middle School in Universal City.



Guadalupe County sites include the Word of Life Fellowship Church in Cibolo, Selma City Hall and Schertz United Methodist Church.



Some context

According to the Bexar County Elections Department, 143,499 ballots were cast across the county during early voting Oct. 20-31. In Northeast San Antonio, 948 ballots were cast at Northeast Lakeview College and 3,090 were cast at Universal City Library.


In Guadalupe County, early voting totals saw 11,338 ballots cast, according to the county’s elections department. Of those, 3,505 were cast at the Elections Office Annex in Schertz and 2,783 were cast at Cibolo Fire Station #2.

Bexar County

Proposition A


Authorizing Bexar County to provide for the acquisition and financing of the Freeman Coliseum, Frost Bank Center and other San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo facilities, together known as the Coliseum Complex Venue Project. The measure would increase the county hotel occupancy tax to a maximum rate of 2%, and also use the existing 5% short-term motor vehicle rental tax to help fund the project. If approved, the maximum hotel occupancy tax rate imposed from all sources in Bexar County would be 17% of the price paid for a room in a hotel.


Proposition B

Authorize Bexar County to plan, develop and finance a new multipurpose arena designed primarily as the home venue for the San Antonio Spurs basketball team, known as the Arena Venue Project. The measure would increase the county hotel occupancy tax to a maximum rate of 2% and use the existing 5% short-term motor vehicle rental tax to help fund the Area Venue Project. If approved, the maximum hotel occupancy rate imposed from all sources in Bexar County would be 17% of the price paid for a room in a hotel.
