“Especially the way cafés serve as gathering places, not just somewhere to eat,” Ekhlayel said in an email to Community Impact.

In 2018, Ekhlayel said he put his entrepreneurial skills to the test by opening his own café called Crepeccino Cafe & Creperie in the Medical Center area of Northwest San Antonio.
“I wanted to bring that European café experience to San Antonio, but with a modern twist that felt welcoming and accessible to our community,” he said.
Then, in 2025, the success of Ekhlayel’s first brick-and-mortar eased into a second, larger location in Cibolo to serve residents of the Northeast San Antonio Metrocom area.

The main highlight of the menu is, of course, crepes, Ehklayel said. But, there’s also much more to choose from for all meals and all times of the day.
“Their versatility enables us to serve both sweet and savory options throughout the day, from breakfast to dessert and dinner,” he said.
The carbonara pasta ($15.60), the vegan fajita crepe ($13.60) and the chicken alfredo crepe ($15.20) are three of the most popular menu items, Ekhlayel said.
Sweet snacking options include dishes like the Nutella strawberry Croffle ($5.80), which is a cross between a waffle and a crepe, according to the menu.
Aside from sweet and savory crepes, the eatery also offers a full espresso bar and a hot and iced tea selection. There are also standard entree options available such as made-to-order omelets and specialty chicken sandwiches.

While a future expansion is indeed on the horizon, Ehklayel said the focus will stay on keeping current customers happy.
“While we’re focused on nurturing what we’ve built, growth is always on the horizon,” he said.
A third San Antonio-area location is anticipated to open sometime in February on the city's Southwest side of town, Ehklayel said.
“Across both of our locations, in San Antonio and Cibolo, we’ve built a team that I’m incredibly grateful for. They go above and beyond every day to create a warm, welcoming experience for every guest who walks through our doors,” Ehklayel said.
