The Forum at Olympia Parkway is a hub for businesses gaining traction from customers coming off Loop 1604 and I-35.

In 2022, 375° Social Kitchen—named for the oven temperature— opened a brick-and-mortar location in The Forum, bringing Asian fusion dishes to the area.

The concept for the restaurant began in 2017 when Will Tennison and Chuck Abeyta decided to cater for schools and other events. By 2018, the duo had a food truck.

Tennison said throughout the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the food truck was parked outside of a Canyon Lake bar. Eventually, they moved inside.

“Around September or October [2020], the bar owner asked us if we wanted to come inside and serve food because they had a kitchen in the back, so we did that for a little bit,” he said.

With Canyon Lake being an hour drive from San Antonio, Tennison and Abeyta decided to stop serving food at the bar and found a place in The Forum for a brick-and-mortar location.

“It has been exciting and stressful,” Tennison said. “It was definitely something new for us, and we had to figure out each department as we went because a restaurant is different from running a food truck.”

The restaurant offers a menu that the owners describe as Asian fusion, which comes from Abeyta’s love for Asian cuisine.

“[The menu] has a little bit of everything: Asian food, tacos, burgers, a little bit of everything all mixed up,” Tennison said.

One popular dish is the Korean Wonton Nachos, which use egg roll wrappers or wontons in the place of tortilla chips.

“We just like to serve things that we eat—things we are used to and things that taste good,” he said.

After a year of success, Tennison said he hopes to see the brand grow and open additional locations as a franchise.

Despite longer wait times when the restaurant is at its busiest, the staff aims to serve high-quality food that is worth the time, he said.

“We take pride in what we do,” Tennison said. “We try our best to put out great food. It may not be the fastest place out there, but if there is a wait, we want that to be the only complaint that you have.”
