Live Oak City Council on Dec. 13 approved multiple resolutions for trail expansions with the Economic Development Corporation.

Projects discussed were for a trail development from Toepperwein Road to the Live Oak Town Center Phase 1 and trail developments from Toepperwein Road to Live Oak Town Center Phase 2.

The combined cost of these projects is $700,000, which will be funded through the EDC.

Other projects included a $400,000 park trail development at Woodcrest Trail, a $175,000 water line extension for Toepperwein Warehouse and a $300,000 approval for a new playground at the hilltop of Main City Park.

These projects will also be funded through the EDC.

Director of Economic Development Donna Lowder said the city is excited to work on these projects and aligns with the goal of creating amenities for residents.

“[The] EDC and the city of Live Oak are very excited to work together in a partnership and to also create some of those amenities that are so important to the people out here,” she said.
