Election day for primary runoff races is May 24. Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., and voters can cast a ballot at any polling location within their counties.

In Bexar County, retired Judge Peter Sakai faces off against State Rep. Ina Minjarez to be the Democratic candidate in the race for Bexar County Judge.

The winner of the runoff will run against Republican candidate Trish DeBerry in the November election.

Voters will also choose candidates to run in U.S. Representative races. For District 28, the Republican candidates are Cassy Garcia and Sandra Whitten, and the Democratic candidates are Jessica Cisneros and incumbent Henry Cuellar.

For District 15, the Democratic candidates are Ruben Ramirez and Michelle Vallejo. The winner of this race will run against Republican candidate Monica De La Cruz Hernandez in November.

In Guadalupe County, lifelong Guadalupe County resident Stephen Germann is running against Cibolo City Council Member Joel Hicks for Precinct 4 county commissioner.

Germann and Hicks received the top number of votes in the March Republican primary election, and the winner of the May 24 runoff election will be uncontested in the November election, as there are no Democratic candidates running for the position.
