Bezos Academy

The new preschool at Northeast Lakeview College offers a tuition-free, year-round and full-day academy for children ages 3 to 5. Bezos Academy is one of nine academies in Texas, and the only academy in the San Antonio area. A new track for radio-controlled vehicles has made its home in Cibolo. K&L Raceway is an indoor track, hosting races for on-road RC vehicles. The carpet track is built to support races for 1/10 scale and 1/12 scale. The track can also be adjusted into an oval track to support Nascar RC races.

Cibolo City Council approved a conditional use permit Nov. 12 for a new convenience store and fuel station at I-10 and Zuehl Road. The proposed project caters to commercial truck drivers by providing fuel stations, restrooms and a convenience store offering food and beverages. Chipotle

The fast-casual chain is exploring options for a new location per a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Filings with the TDLR are subject to change. A new Chipotle is expected to be constructed at the corner of I-35 and Cibolo Valley Drive, near EVO Entertainment.Semmes Branch Library


The library will be closed for interior and exterior painting and improvements to its restrooms and ceiling. During the closure, staff will allow patrons to pick up and drop off materials by utilizing curbside service throughout the week. The project is expected to be completed in January.

The city of Universal City celebrated the opening of its first municipal parking lot.
