DICK's House of Sports will open a location in Live Oak in 2025.

The details

According to a June 25 news release, the more than 100,000-square-foot store will feature a rock climbing wall, sport cage, golf bays and a multi-use track and field.

Alongside the active areas, the store will offer apparel, cleats, sports gear and other equipment and accessories.

The House of Sports model is a new initiative from DICK's Sporting Goods with only 14 locations across the country. The goal is to expand to around 100 stores, according to the business website.

The store will serve as a new anchor of the Live Oak Town Center, which is located at the southwest quadrant of I-35 and Loop 1604 near IKEA.

We are very excited about welcoming DICK’S Sporting Goods to our Live Oak Town Center,” Live Oak Mayor Mary Dennis said in the release. “The City Council and I have always wanted to have first class retail for our residents and shoppers in the Northeast Region and this project delivers on that. I would like to thank Weitzman, DICK’S Sporting Goods, our Economic Development Corporation, and city staff for working collectively to make our Town Center a premier shopping destination.”
