Bexar County is seeking temporary pet fosters or permanent pet adopters as the county must empty its animal care facility in order to accommodate scheduled structural maintenance and improvements.
According to a county news release, adoption fees will be waived for a pet adoption event set for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. May 14 at 5510 Duffek Drive in Kirby.
All animals will be spayed, neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Ninety cats and dogs are housed there.
