Methodist Hospital Landmark held a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of its expanded emergency department at 5510 Presidio Parkway in San Antonio on Dec. 5.

The details

The $3.5 million project added an additional six rooms, bringing the total number of emergency beds from three to nine. Each room features full cardiac and ICU monitoring capabilities and is equipped to administer IV drugs, according to a news release.

The new ER is designed for:
  • Primary triage
  • Handling a wide range of emergencies
  • Providing initial stabilization for patients
  • Offering full cardiac and ICU monitoring capabilities
  • Treating various emergency medical conditions
The facility has one primary triage room and eight multi-purpose, fully functional emergency department rooms.
