Early voting totals, things to know ahead of the March 3 primary election in Bexar County

On the ballot

Voters will be able to vote in multiple federal, state and local elections. Republican primary races include the Texas governor, lieutenant governor, Texas House District 121 and Texas House District 118. Democratic Primary races include Texas governor, lieutenant governor, Texas agriculture commissioner, Texas land commissioner and Bexar County judge.

The specifics

Early voting ran from Feb. 17-27. In Bexar County, the Democratic primary saw 123,906 total votes during the early voting period, while the Republican primary saw 59,969 votes. Early voting ballots cast by the voting center include:

• Brook Hollow Branch Library: 8,691 ballots
• Encino Branch Library: 8,259 ballots
• Northside Activity Center: 3,733 ballots
• Semmes Branch Library: 7,219 ballots
• Shavano Park City Hall: 5,074 ballots

Voters must have a valid form of photo identification at the polls when voting in person, according to www.votetexas.gov.

Forms of valid ID include:

• A Texas driver's license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety
• A Texas election identification certificate issued by the DPS
• A Texas personal identification card issued by the DPS
• A Texas handgun license issued by the DPS
• U.S. military identification card containing the person’s photo
• U.S. citizenship certificate containing the person’s photo
• U.S. passport book or card
