Reagan High School senior Ania Valdez is one of 52 students worldwide who earned a perfect score on the Advanced Placement 3-D art and design exam, according to a news release.
AP exams are scored on a scale of one to five. Valdez received a perfect five and maximized every possible point on the AP 3-D art and design exam, the release states. Valdez took the exam in May as a junior.
”I still can't believe it, honestly," Valdez said in a statement. "I thought they might have the wrong student! But I was really happy. It made my day and made everything worth it."
Reagan Principal Charles Reininger said he and fellow school leaders and faculty are proud of Valdez.
“Her hard work and dedication are paying off in a big way. We can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next,” Reininger said in a statement.
