Pre-K 4 SA enrollment for the 2023-24 school year begins Feb. 1 for children who will be 3 or 4 years old by Sept. 1, 2023.

A news release said applications can be submitted online at www.prek4sa.com and are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pre-K 4 SA offers full-day prekindergarten for 3- and 4-year-olds living in the city of San Antonio, and it is free for qualifying students, the release said.

Breakfast, lunch and snacks are included, and free transportation is available to all students. An extended-day learning program is included and available for working families until 6 p.m. daily, the release said.

City officials said Pre-K 4 SA’s tuition assistance and scholarship structure provides program access for San Antonio’s working, middle-class families who may need financial support but do not already qualify for free, high-quality pre-K through Texas Education Agency guidelines.

A scholarship calculator is available for families to easily determine their personal investment to enroll children at Pre-K 4 SA, the release said.

Pre-K 4 SA has four education centers located throughout the city. Gardendale Early Learning Program, powered by Pre-K 4 SA, is the first replication site and was made possible through a partnership with Edgewood ISD.

Center locations include:

  • North Education Center: 3635 Medical Drive
  • East Education Center: 5230 Eisenhauer Road
  • South Education Center: 7031 S. New Braunfels Ave.
  • West Education Center: 1235 Enrique Barrera Memorial Parkway
  • Gardendale Early Learning Program: 1731 Dahlgreen Ave.
