The Capital Grille is planning to open its first San Antonio location at La Cantera, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

What we know

The restaurant is an upscale steakhouse that specializes in dry aged steaks, seafood and wine, according to its website. The restaurant has 71 locations in the U.S., including a location in Mexico City and Costa Rica.

Construction on the 10,100-square-foot business began July 29 and is expected to be completed by March 21, 2025, with an estimated cost of $2.5 million, according to the filing. However, projects filed in the TDLR are subject to change.


Representatives of the restaurant were not available to comment on an opening date.
