Fiamme Pizzeria is scheduled to open this summer at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa.

The background

According to a March 21 news release, Fiamme—Italian for “flames—will serve Neapolitan pizza, appetizers, salads, desserts, cocktails and the north side resort’s signature Hill Country Honey Blonde Beer. The pizzas will be baked in a Morello Forni dome mosaic pizza oven, which was imported from Italy.

Representatives for JW Marriott San Antonio said Fiamme will be on the lower lobby level near the resort’s main dining restaurant, Cibolo Moon, and will have indoor seating. The new eatery will also give guests the chance to take their meal and dine in one of the resort's outdoor areas.

What they’re saying

Adam Tyler, food and beverage director at JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa, said he and his colleagues are excited to add an eighth on-site restaurant.

“Our resort offers stunning views of the Texas Hill Country, so the addition of an elevated, casual dining experience providing guests the option to order delicious Italian cuisine to go was important to us,” Tyler said in a statement. "We want our guests to fully enjoy the resort’s views and beautiful outdoor spaces while enjoying the diverse culinary offerings we’re known for.”
