A local franchise of a Houston-born bank chain has moved one of its branches to the Alamo City.

Amegy Bank relocated its branch from Bitters Road to 13432 San Pedro Ave. in North San Antonio on March 9, according to a social media announcement from the bank.
The context
Amegy Bank was founded in Houston in 1990, according to its website. The bank became a division of the Utah-based financial conglomerate, Zions Bancorporation, in 2005.
According to the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, the bank relocated the headquarters of its Central Texas operation to downtown San Antonio back in the fall of 2025.
The financial institution offers traditional personal and commercial banking services, from classic savings accounts to wealth management and more, its website states.
