Goodblend, a Texas-based medical marijuana provider, recently opened a pickup location in Stone Oak.

The background

According to a news release, Goodblend primarily serves a pickup place for individuals with a prescription for low tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) to treat specific medical conditions.

A prescription must be provided by a qualified physician who is on the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas, operated by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Goodblend also offers THC-infused edibles, beverages, tinctures, topicals and related merchandise for delivery or pickup.

Stone Oak represents the sixth Goodblend dispensary to open in Texas and the first to open in San Antonio. The store is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.

Terrence Baugh, community relations manager at Goodblend Texas, said Texans want more access to medical marijuana, especially for conditions and diseases such as PTSD, cancer, and muscle spasms.

"Navigating Texas' strict medical marijuana regulations presents challenges, but we remain deeply committed to serving our patients and educating everyone on the safety and legality of the Texas compassionate use program,” Baugh said in a statement.

"We're honored to extend our award-winning medical marijuana products to a new location in San Antonio. Goodblend is about making things easy for patients, from finding out if they qualify online to getting our tested, medical-grade products delivered to them or picked up at our new location in San Antonio."
