The North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce will hold its inaugural economic development symposium Nov. 3 at Estancia del Norte.
The background
The symposium is designed to provide open, key conversations among renowned participants regarding San Antonio’s utility and transit infrastructure, commercial, workforce and educational development, and major upcoming public projects.
The first scheduled panel discussion, focused on infrastructure, will include CPS Energy President and CEO Rudy Garza; CPS Energy board Chair Janie Martinez Gonzalez; Robert Puente, San Antonio Water System president and CEO; and SAWS board Vice Chair David McGee.
Covering workforce development, the second planned panel discussion will include Greater:SATX Chief Workforce Officer Romanita Matta-Barrera; Trish DeBerry, Centro San Antonio president and CEO; Northwest Vista College President Amy Bosley; and David Marquez, Bexar County’s economic and community development executive director.
Big projects will be the subject of the third and final panel discussion. Participants will include San Antonio City Manager Erik Walsh; Jesus Saenz, San Antonio Airport System director; Melissa Cabello Havrda, San Antonio District 6 council member; Jeff Arndt, VIA Metropolitan Transit president and CEO; and Bobby Perez, Spurs Sports and Entertainment’s chief legal officer and general counsel.
The symposium will begin with registration, networking and breakfast, followed by lunch.
