Concord Properties, based in Stone Oak, announced Taylor Dorris as new CEO and president.
According to a Sept. 13 news release, Dorris succeeds Jay Eddy, who announced his decision to become a chief advisory officer after serving the San Antonio-based company for 45 years.
Dorris, a longtime business associate, has represented Concord Properties in leasing and sales transactions for the past 18 years, the release said.
Eddy praised Dorris, adding that he looks forward to working as a consultant to Concord for years to come.
“[Dorris] is a natural fit; he has been involved with the company for close to 20 years, and I have confidence that he will only further the success and growth of Concord Properties,” Eddy said in a statement.
As CEO, Dorris is transitioning Concord Properties into a full-service commercial real estate firm offering development, leasing and property management services, the release said.
Dorris said this transition was vital in continuing to elevate the level of services Concord provides.
The release said Dorris will also lead efforts in marketing Concord’s properties, maintaining property management services and staying ahead of commercial real estate trends.
“I am honored and excited to assume the position of president and CEO, and I intend to build off of Jay Eddy’s tremendous success; under his Concord tenure, approximately 1 million square feet was developed into some of San Antonio’s most noteworthy projects,” Dorris said.
Concord representatives said their company in June completed development of Concord Park III, the most recent addition to Concord Park, a Stone Oak-based master-planned business park featuring a mix of office, medical office and retail spaces.
Concord owns and manages 500,000 square feet of properties. The company’s notable local developments include One Riverwalk, the Quarry Golf Course, and Concord Plaza and Concord Athletic Club.
Dorris said Concord Properties always strives to exceed their clients’ and tenants’ expectations.
“We make it our goal to understand our clients’ long-term business needs and develop projects that are targeted towards tenant satisfaction. We will continue to offer this unparalleled, exceptional service, just under new leadership,” Dorris said.
