New bridge over Dry Comal Creek, Altgelt Lane realignment
Project: The project includes the realignment of Altgelt Lane and the construction of a new bridge over Dry Comal Creek, allowing the county to manage and maintain the infrastructure outside the city limits.
Update: The New Braunfels City Council approved Comal County's request to disannex approximately 3 acres of land along Altgelt Lane at an Oct. 28 council meeting.

Project: Reconstruction of Goodwin Lane is planned from FM 306 to Conrads Lane, as well as the reconstruction of Conrads Lane from Goodwin Lane to I-35. The addition of shared-use paths and drainage improvements is also planed for this area.
Update: The City is preparing to receive bids for this project, with work expected to begin early next year.

Project: The McQueeney Road project involves milling and overlaying the roadway, with targeted base repairs and the completion of sidewalk gaps to improve pedestrian access and safety.

Project: The Union Avenue project will include milling and overlaying the roadway, along with spot base repairs and the installation of sidewalks where gaps currently exist, from Lincoln Street to Common Street. Additionally, this project includes a joint contract with New Braunfels Utilities to complete water system improvements.
Update: Construction on Union Avenue is anticipated to start within the next few months, as part of the 2023 Bond transportation projects.
