Havniear, who has 11 years of experience in public education with Oregon’s Medford ISD, began working for Comal ISD on Sept. 8, according to a news release.
Havniear was the architect for the largest school-based active shooter and emergency response exercises in the nation. He graduated from the U.S Military Academy at West Point, the release states.
Quote of note
Superintendent John Chapman III said they look forward to welcoming Havniear as he joins Comal ISD.
“His leadership, vision and expertise are great assets to our team,” Chapman said in the release.
