Northeast Lakeview College, or NLC, is relocating its New Braunfels campus to the former PNC Bank building at 2049 Sundance Parkway, with classes expected to begin at the new location in spring of 2026.

The relocation allows the community college to expand its course offerings and programs to better meet the region’s growing educational and workforce demands, according to a news release.

The details

The Alamo Colleges District acquired the 58,000-square-foot facility near FM 306, which allowed NLC to move from its current space at the Central Texas Technology Center, at 2193 FM 758, New Braunfels.

Since launching in fall 2023, NLC’s New Braunfels location has doubled enrollment, prompting the need for a larger campus, according to the release.

NLC President Veronica Garcia said the expansion strengthens partnerships with New Braunfels ISD and Comal ISD for dual-credit programs and supports local workforce needs.

“The New Braunfels and Seguin communities continue to grow, and we want to ensure students have access to high-quality education close to home,” Garcia said in the news release.

The relocation will also allow the community college to expand its science, engineering and semiconductor technology courses, according to the news release.

Next steps

NLC will continue holding classes at its current location at the Central Texas Technology Center while renovations are underway, according to the release. The new campus is expected to open for classes in spring 2026.
