Mattenga's Pizzeria opens food truck in New Braunfels

Mattenga's Pizzeria has opened a new food truck to serve a larger portion of the New Braunfels area, co-owner Matthew Stanfield said.

The pizzeria opened Jan. 21 at 675 S. Business I-35. Mattenga's Pizzeria offers classic and specialty 10-inch pizzas, pizza rolls and more.

Stanfield said the truck was previously used for catering services at parties and other events, but wanted to keep it open consistently to better serve New Braunfels.

"We wanted to expand our reach," Stanfield said. "Now we get to serve people where they're at."

The truck will operate from Wednesday through Sunday.
