The Intrepid Thread is relocating in New Braunfels.

The details

The Intrepid Thread—which sells luxury fabrics and sewing machines—is relocating from Freiheit Village at 2165 Gabriel’s Place, Ste. 1113, to Corridor Commercial Center. The business is anticipated to open in its new location Jan. 15, Owner Julie Dueck said in an email to Community Impact.

Dueck said she opened inside The Mercer building in June 2024, and in November, they closed up shop to relocate.

“We specialize in subscription services sending out little packages of sewing bliss all over the country,” Dueck said in the email.

Digging deeper

Dueck said she is excited to welcome seamstresses and seamsters and create a friendly community atmosphere.

The Intrepid Thread’s name was inspired by Dueck’s father, who was stationed on the USS Intrepid.

“I named it in honor of him,” she said.
