Riverview Calvary Chapel is building a permanent, 19,000-square-foot chapel at 6804 FM 306 in New Braunfels.

The overview

The church has been renting a space at Through A Child’s Eyes Development Center at 2047 E. Common St. for its church services on Wednesdays and Sundays, said Debbie Lenke, the church’s events and communications director in an email to Community Impact.

Riverview Calvary Chapel is part of the Calvary Chapel movement founded by Pastor Chuck Smith in Southern California. The church offers services on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. The church also has a children’s ministry program along with ministries for high schoolers, young adults, men and women.

The building is anticipated to be completed in December, Lenke said in the email.

The church also celebrated its 10-year anniversary in September.
