Officials with Methodist Healthcare gathered March 8 to observe 15 years of service at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak.
The background
Methodist Hospital Stone Oak opened in 2009 as an 87-bed facility on a 40-acre plot at the corner of Sonterra and Hardy Oak boulevards. Methodist Healthcare leaders said the far north San Antonio hospital has expanded to accommodate the area’s population growth, as the facility now contains 245 beds, including a 42-bed acute care rehabilitation center.
Methodist Healthcare leaders described Methodist Hospital Stone Oak as a comprehensive facility, with a range of specialty services, an accredited Level III trauma center, and a designated Level III maternal and neonatal intensive care unit.
