Registration for Kick Cancer Pep Rally and 5K in Schertz now available

Registration for the Kick Cancer Pep Rally and 5K run is open to applicants.

The details

Since 2009, Schertz has hosted the event to honor former Schertz City Council member Tony Wilenchik, who was diagnosed in 2006 with Stage 4 leiomyosarcoma.

The event helps raise money that is donated to the UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center.

The event will feature a 1K run and a 5K run. Signs of Love can also be purchased and placed in Pickrell Park with the names of loved ones.
