North San Antonio resort offers art walk tour

Representatives of JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa said guests and community members are invited to a new art walk tour at their northside resort.

A June 28 news release stated that the indoor, self-guided tour, called “Deep in the Art," features curated artwork by artists, and leads visitors throughout the resort grounds where they can view and read about 13 different pieces of art.

Representatives of the resort said the new art walk tour is among several educational and recreational offerings open to all ages.

The art works, according to the release, represent the far north San Antonio’s natural surroundings.

Highlights of the art walk include blown glass by local artist Gini Garcia, and a portrait of J. Willard Marriott.

Guides with the art's location, artist names and information about the work can be picked up at the registration desk in the upper-level lobby near the front entrance and are also available online.
