The Alamo
The Republic of Texas declared independence March 2 and was its own country for approximately 10 years, according to The Alamo’s website. The local historic site is hosting its own annual Independence Day celebration in downtown San Antonio.

The event will feature living history exhibits, presentations, live music and more from the early 1800s.
Gruene Hall
Gruene Hall is hosting its annual Independence Day celebration with multiple activities from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 1 at 1281 Gruene Road in New Braunfels.
