The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD board of trustees will have one contested race—Position 2—during the November election.
Margaret Carlin and Alberto Ramirez will be the two candidates on the ballot, with the candidate receiving the most votes being sworn into the position, which is held by Robert M. Westbrook, who did not seek re-election.
Places 1 and 3 were also up for election this year, but Gerald “Jerry” Perkins and Letticia Sever, respectively, were the only applicants for the positions, meaning the incumbents will retain their roles following the canvassing of votes.
Read Q&As with each Place 2 candidate below. Candidates were asked to keep responses under 50 words, answer the question provided and avoid attacking opponents. Answers may have been edited or cut to adhere to those guidelines, or for style and clarity.
