The city of Fair Oaks Ranch will have three City Council seats up for election on May 3. For the place 5 City Council seat, incumbent Scott Parker will be running against Kevin Cox.
Ahead of the election, Community Impact reached out to learn more about each candidate.

Why are you running for city council?
To continue to serve my community. For 4 years, we have managed to keep Ranch taxes low while providing quality services to residents. Infrastructure challenges met. Top Tier of Texas Safest Cities. All done while keeping our tax rates low.
What are the biggest challenges Fair Oaks Ranch is facing?
Managing future growth while maintaining Hill Country lifestyle. Keeping our roads and public utility in top condition so we aren’t kicking the can down the road. Insuring that Public Safety remains top priority with new Fire and EMS contracts looming. Water, Water, Water.
How do you plan on addressing those challenges?
Utilizing tools such as the Unified Development Code, Tree Mitigation Plan and planning and zoning to ensure that future growth is managed. Having best professionals in public safety to ensure that fire contracts meet current and future needs. Superior water management regulation and planning. Outside the box planning!
What is something you would like Fair Oaks Ranch residents to know about you?
My family has loved being in the “Back 40” for over 20 years with our rescue horses, donkeys and dogs. We have watched the city grow and attract quality new housing and with it great families who are able to enjoy diverse golf club and equestrian interests.
