While the town of Hollywood Park has three City Council positions on its May 6 election ballot, only one seat is being contested.
Shea Johnson and Dale Randol are vying for the Place 3 post, where incumbent Michael Voorhies decided to not seek re-election.
Place 1 representative Chester Drash, appointed to a fill a vacancy in May 2022, was the only resident to file for a full two-year term in the Place 1 seat.
Place 5 Council Member Glenna Pearce drew no opposition in filing for a second two-year term in office.

Early voting will be held April 24-May 2. Election day is May 6.
Early voting hours are 8 a.m.-6 p.m. April 24-27 and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. April 29-May 2. Polls are closed on Fiesta Battle of Flowers Parade holiday, April 28, and on April 30.
Area early voting sites include Brookhollow Branch Library, 530 Heimer Road, and the Bexar County Precinct 3 Satellite Office, 320 Interpark Blvd.
